What types of pallets can I sell?

Partner buyers in our network commonly take wooden pallets (standard 48"x40" and other sizes), plastic pallets, damaged pallets suitable for repair, and specialty pallets such as ISPM 15 heat-treated or oversized units. What a buyer accepts depends on the partner and current demand.

What condition do my pallets need to be in?

Condition affects the offer. Grade A pallets in like-new condition usually get the best offers, Grade B and C pallets can still have value, and broken pallets may be accepted for repair parts or recycling, depending on the partner buyer.

Is there a minimum quantity required?

Minimums depend on the partner buyer. Larger loads are easier to collect, and free pickup usually depends on quantity. Include your count in your request and we pass it to partners who handle that volume.

What pallet sizes are accepted?

Partner buyers commonly accept standard sizes including 48"x40" (Standard GMA), 48"x48" (Large Square), and 42"x42" (Telecom). Custom sizes may be accepted depending on demand.

How is pricing determined?

Offers are by quote from partner buyers and depend on pallet grade (condition), size, quantity, location, and current demand.

When do I get paid?

Payment is arranged directly with the partner buyer who collects your pallets. Ask about payment timing and method when you accept the offer.

Are there any fees or deductions?

Sending a quote request through Ottawa Pallet Company is free. Any pickup charges or deductions are set by the partner buyer, so ask them to confirm what is included in the offer before pickup.

How soon can my pallets be picked up?

Pickup timing depends on the partner buyer's schedule and your location. The partner buyer confirms a pickup time with you.

Is pickup free?

Partner buyers may offer free pickup for larger quantities in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Whether your load qualifies is confirmed in the partner's offer.

What pickup options are available?

Depending on the partner buyer, options can include:

• One-Time Pickup: Book a time that fits your dock schedule.
• Scheduled Pickups: Some partners may offer regular pickups for businesses with ongoing surplus.
• Trailer Drop: Some high-volume partners may leave a trailer onsite for you to fill.

What areas do you cover?

We take requests from Ottawa, Kanata, Nepean, Orleans, Barrhaven, Gloucester, and across Eastern Ontario. Availability depends on partner suppliers.

Do I need to sort or prepare the pallets?

Partner buyers can usually count and load pallets at pickup. Stacking pallets by size and condition beforehand can make pickup quicker.

How does the selling process work?

It's simple:

1. Send details about your pallets (quantity, condition, size, location) through the quote form.
2. We pass your request to partner buyers in our network.
3. A partner buyer follows up with an offer and pickup options.
4. If you accept, you arrange pickup and payment directly with the partner buyer.

Will I get a receipt?

Ask the partner buyer for a receipt or invoice for the pallets they collect, so you have a record of the sale.

How soon will I hear back?

We pass your request to partner buyers, and a partner buyer follows up with an offer. Timing depends on partner availability.

What happens to the pallets after they are collected?

Partner buyers typically repair and resell usable pallets. Pallets that can't be reused can be ground into mulch or fuel by recyclers.
